Career Summary:

Aydın Sav completed his primary, secondary and high school education at TED Ankara College. He graduated from Ege University in 1980 as a medical doctor. He worked as a young researcher-student in the pathology department, as did most of the animal experimenters. Faculty of Medicine in 1984. He completed his residency training in Pathology Department. Between 1984-1985 he worked in GATA, Etlik Hospital, Department of Pathology. He worked at Ankara Numune Hospital between 1985-1989. From 1989 to 2008, he worked in the Department of Pathology, Faculty of Medicine, Marmara University. The most important task of the university, to establish the Neurological Sciences Institute and teacher, Prof. Dr. Talia Bali Aykan is dedicated to the establishment of a neuropathology laboratory.

 

Between 2008 and 2013, he worked at Acıbadem University. He has been working in Nişantaşı Pathology Group since 2008. While living in Houston, Texas between the years of 2014-2018, he continued to provide routine diagnostic neuropathology service with the help of “digital pathology çalışan working with the support of Acıbadem Health Group. In 1988 Mayo Clinic and Armed Forces Institute of Pathology, in 1996 Universitat der Wiener, Institute für Neuropathologie, in 2006 Mayo Clinic, in 2011 University of Toronto, Saint Michael’s Hospital in 2011 and Houston Methodist Hospital and Baylor Medical College neuropathology between 2015-2017 participated in consensus meetings. He has published many national and international scientific articles, book chapters. He is a referee for several national and international journals. Turkey Pathology Association, Federation of Euro-CNS and Asno (Asia Neurooncology Association) member, is a member of the American Society of Neuropathology. Pathology Societies working in Turkey Federation is the founder of the Working Group within a neurologist.

 

 

He conducted scientific studies at national and international level and organized various neuropathology courses. Dr. Sava many medical students, pathologists, and is currently working with postdoctoral researcher and colleagues. A neurologist (brain tumors and pituitary neoplasms) is interested. Biomarkers in gliomagenesis; oncogenic changes; pituitary gland neoplasms; the role of pituitary stem cells; The effect of the molecular and genetic markers in embryogenesis works in the area of ​​the pituitary gland.
